RESEARCHING ABOUT MY FILM GENRE

My film genre is in mystery/melodrama.

Melodrama is a dramatic work in which events, plot, and characters are sensationalized to elicit strong emotional reactions from the audience. A plethora of movie genres allows film directors to engross their audiences in unique ways. Genres like thriller and horror keep you on the edge of your seat. The bittersweet endings of drama and romantic genres leave you misty-eyed and overwhelmed with mixed emotions. So i used both two different genres to give sense of unfamiliarity and mix of emotions to the audience. Genre focuses on the solution to a problem or crime in a movie. Just like thriller, suspense in a mystery movie is an essential plot element. Directors and film editors introduce this element through soundtracks, camera angles, surprising plot twists and the overall ambiance of the time and place setting of the film.
